Privacy Policy — Rise MCP Connector
Effective date: July 2, 2026
This policy covers the Rise MCP connector operated by Cirqul, Inc. at mcp.rise.cirqul.com — the service that lets you connect your Rise account to an AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT). It supplements the Rise application privacy policy, which governs your Rise account itself.
What the connector accesses
When you authorize an AI assistant to use Rise, the connector gives that assistant access to the financial data already in your Rise account, on your instruction only: account balances and metadata, transactions, budgets, spending insights, net-worth history, goals, income sources, insurance records, receipts, and household summaries you have opted into sharing. Bank data enters Rise through our read-only aggregation provider (MX); the connector cannot move money, initiate payments or transfers, or change anything at your bank.
The connector never exposes full account numbers or routing numbers, and it does not expose your bank credentials to anyone — including us; bank login happens directly with the aggregation provider.
What we collect from connector use
- Authorization records — which AI application you connected, when, and the OAuth grants involved, so you can review and revoke access.
- Audit logs — for each tool call: your user ID, the connected client, the tool name, and the outcome (success, denied, error). Audit logs do not contain your financial figures, and application logs never contain raw financial data.
What we do not do
- We do not log, store, or read your conversations with the AI assistant. Your chat history belongs to you and the assistant’s provider.
- We do not read the assistant’s memory, files, or anything outside a tool call.
- We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. Rise carries no ads.
- We do not use your financial data to train AI models, and we do not grant our vendors the right to do so.
Where data lives and who processes it
Rise data is stored in our database hosted by Supabase (PostgreSQL, encrypted at rest) and served over TLS. The connector runs on Vercel. Bank connectivity is provided by MX Technologies on a read-only basis. When you use an AI assistant with Rise, the tool results you request are transmitted to that assistant’s provider (e.g. Anthropic or OpenAI) to answer you — their handling of that conversation is governed by their privacy policy.
Retention and deletion
Financial data persists in your Rise account for as long as you keep the account. Revoking a connected AI app (in Rise settings, or from the assistant) immediately cuts off its access; audit logs of past access are retained for security purposes. You can request deletion of your Rise account and its data at any time via support@cirqul.com.
Your controls
- Approve or deny each AI application on the consent screen at authorization time.
- Review and revoke connected AI apps in your Rise settings at any time.
- Household sharing is opt-in per member and reversible.
- Request an export or deletion of your data by contacting support.
